Product Growth Programme applications open to accelerate startups focused on innovation for good

We’re excited to reveal recruitment has begun for our second Product Growth Programme, which is powered by Barclays Eagle Labs, funded by UK government and delivered by Plexal, as we accelerate founding teams from MVP to product-market fit.

This is the chance for startups harnessing digital innovation for the good of people, organisations and the planet to submit their applications now. Those selected will benefit from our three-month programme, on which we’ll support companies with guidance on everything from building a team to accelerating development and securing funding runway to accessing high-growth target markets.

Providing online sessions live and on-demand, while there will also be in-person days to meet your peers face-to-face, we’re especially interested in hearing from startups whose digital products might bring:

  • Good health and wellbeing for people and communities of all ages
  • Sustainable innovation across sectors, such as food, energy, retail, production and infrastructure
  • Equality in society, systems and workplaces

We welcomed our first Product Growth Programme cohort back in January, with our 25 innovative businesses working on areas including amputee recovery, extended reality, health monitoring, solar energy and much more.

As Product Growth Programme drew to a close, we hosted the Digital Product Showcase, enabling founders to take to the stage and participate in some solutions-based sparring, resulting in an overall winner – Mark Cox, an A&E doctor for five years, who turned to entrepreneurship in attempt to tackle a noticeable family mental health crisis.

Commenting, Mark said: “We did the Product Builder Programme, which was such a massive game-changer for us as a business. The support we’ve had from Plexal and Barclays to then follow up on Product Growth Programme is just awesome. I think a lot of people don’t understand there are these networks support out there. So a massive thank you to Plexal and Barclays.”

Lydia Carrick founded Apputee, a digital platform that helps amputees through their recovery process, giving them access to resources, guides, communities and more. Like Mark, Lydia also transitioned from Product Builder Programme to Product Growth Programme. “There’s so much information and so many interesting things you can learn,” she shared. “The network behind the programme, the people at Plexal, the people on the programme, they’re so lovely and incredible. The support I’ve received has been amazing.”
