ABOUT PLEXAL

This role will work collaboratively within the finance team to manage day-to-day financial activities for the Workplace segment, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and the effective flow of financial information across the business.

What you’ll do
  • Keeping general and subsidiary ledgers (including purchases and sales ledgers) accurate and up to date.
  • Being responsible for processing of related ledger entries for all Workspaces across the group.
  • Contribute to the production of timely and accurate financial and management information including performance and analysis across the group.
  • Conducting variance analyses and investigate deviations from Workspace segment budgets or forecasts.
  • Driving the Workspaces monthly invoicing cycle.
  • Coordinating onboarding of Workspaces customers and suppliers.
  • Monitoring and managing supplier purchase orders. Ensuring that invoices are posted against correct projects and purchase orders.
  • Maintaining cash flow forecasts for the Worspace segment and incorporating this information into overall company forecasts.
  • Managing business rates, utility charges and parking fees for all locations.
  • Ensuring compliance with Group financial control policies.
  • Working closely with the Business in order to understand, influence and drive workspaces financial performance.
  • Periodically conducting expense reviews in order to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Championing financial awareness and diligence within Workspaces service team.
  • Contribute towards driving continuing financial process improvement.
  • Supporting Group Financial Manager in completing the year end statutory audit.
  • Support the wider Finance team in delivering overall team objectives
  • Effective planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to keep track of multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Analytical, with the ability to think critically and to understand, interpret and articulate complex reports, requirements, or recommendations
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Attention to detail to avoid/remove the risk of error, wherever possible, with a strong focus on quality.
Your skills

Essential:

  • AAT or similar foundational qualification.
  • Working towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
Your experience

Essential

  • Experience with reconciliations and payment process.
  • General accounting experience, eg. Issuing invoices, allocating payments
  • Experience with Supplier PO-to-pay compliance

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Dynamics BC
  • Experience with membership or workspace billing operations

  • This role may require some national travel for delivery of projects and travel to all Plexal sites
  • Due to the nature of this position, our work and our client engagements, you must be willing and eligible to achieve a minimum of SC clearance. To qualify for SC clearance, you must be a British Citizen or have resided in the UK for the last five years with no extensive periods outside of the UK. Pre-existing SC welcome.
