As customer lead for central government, you will be at the forefront of Plexal’s mission to drive innovation and deliver real-world impact. - What You'll Do
- Sector Growth Leadership: Drive Plexal’s growth in central government, leveraging our existing relationships and market insights to deliver ambitious, scalable results
- Strategic Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and budget holders across government and industry
- Opportunity Development: Identify new demand for Plexal services, co-create challenge books with customers, and scope innovative opportunities that align with our mission
- Customer Success: Own the customer journey from inception to completion, ensuring exceptional experiences and alignment with Plexal’s objectives, customer KPIs and financial targets
- Account Strategy: Define and execute account strategies that support growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term partnership value
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify cross-cutting challenges and opportunities, fostering a culture of innovation
- Go-to-Market Innovation: Design and implement creative go-to-market strategies to enable Plexal to meet or exceed its scaling ambitions
- Market Intelligence: Continuously develop your professional knowledge of emerging policy, technology, and venturing trends, using insights to shape Plexal’s propositions
- Culture & Leadership: Actively contribute to Plexal’s culture and operational effectiveness, championing best practices and nurturing colleagues to achieve their potential
- Thought Leadership: Represent Plexal at industry events, contribute to thought leadership, and drive innovation across central government
- Your Experience
Essential:
- 8+ years’ high-performance experience in business development, commercial, or go-to-market roles within central government
- Demonstrable expertise in designing, shaping, and negotiating significant (£1m+/multi-year) commercial engagements to meet complex customer needs
- Extensive networks with government and private sector decision-makers in Central Government
- Proven team leadership and management experience, including building and scaling high-performing teams
Highly desirable:
- Experience excelling in a scale-up or high-growth environment
- Experience spanning both public and private sector roles in central government
- First-hand experience supporting government users to develop and adopt new/emerging technology capabilities
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience
- Additional sector-specific or leadership qualifications are advantageous
