Plexal develops always-on SME support system, Growth Partnership 

As demonstrated with our 2024 Impact Report, Plexal has a proven track record. Through collaboration with government, industry and startups, we’ve supported growth of over 1,200 businesses, contributing £731m to the UK economy and generating 9,400 jobs. To enhance this further we’ve opened a new division, Growth Partnership, to directly empower the country’s SMEs, which account for 99.8% of companies nationwide.

The UK Government has outlined its number one mission is economic growth. Interventions such as grant funding and accelerators are powerful steps to get startups, scaleups and SMEs going but Plexal recognises more can be done to ensure always-on growth support. Understanding that the journey of a growing business is incredibly complex, Plexal is focused on getting these companies to their peak potential with Growth Partnership.

Growth Partnership comprises an experienced team of business consultants, technologists, product managers and investment specialists, with more hires to follow, who are geared up to deliver one-to-one support for UK startups, scaleups and SMEs.

Our process begins with a free consultation to measure where the business is on their scaling journey, learn the key milestones and explore priorities ahead, such as fundraising, customer acquisition and product development. Once this is complete, a unique growth plan will be created, key focus areas will be agreed and the relationship will commence – acting as an extension of the company’s team.

Growth Partnership enables companies to proactively register independently at an affordable rate. In addition to Plexal experts, Growth Partnership will also bring like-minded collaborators together for events, learning and development and networking.
