In spring, the Plexal team were pleased to discover our nomination for Incubator / Accelerator of the Year at the Go:Tech Awards 2024. And now we’re over the moon to have been named the winner!
Winning the Incubator / Accelerator of the Year honour at the Go:Tech Awards, Plexal was recognised for our breadth of work delivering innovation programmes that help all organisations – small and large, private and public, local and global – tackle key challenges. A prime example of this work is Cyber Runway, the UK’s largest cyber security accelerator programme, which has supported over 214 founders to launch, grow and scale their startups.
Andrew Roughan, CEO at Plexal, says: “From the startups and scaleups seeking growth to the government departments developing policy areas to the large industry firms seeking partners, we’re on a mission to close the gap between organisations. In doing this, we create the conditions for innovation to thrive, enabling economic growth and prosperity to take shape. It’s a privilege to receive this recognition as Incubator / Accelerator of the Year from the Go Tech: Awards and Business Leader and I’m incredibly proud of the Plexal team.”
Diane Gilbert, Senior Innovation Lead for Programmes at Plexal, adds: “In my role, I see first-hand how much thought, commitment and hard work my colleagues put into our programmes, I’m overjoyed to have collected the Incubator / Accelerator of the Year accolade at the Go:Tech Awards. Cyber Runway, now open for the fourth edition, especially reinforces the Plexal mission outlined by Andrew and I’m excited to welcome more incredible talent to our community of gifted founders and ambitious enterprises.”
Powered by Business Leader, the destination for business insight, the Go:Tech Awards celebrates the UK’s tech pioneers and innovators, bringing together professionals, investors and entrepreneurs to showcase businesses of all sizes across the whole of the UK.

Meanwhile, supporters included HSBC UK, BDO, HGF, Moore Barlow Lawyers, the London Stock Exchange and OakNorth, which sponsored the event at Hilton Bankside, London.
