This Mental Health Day we have partnered with McPherson Meditation to bring you a day filled with anxiety and stress reduction activities.
This day is about raising awareness and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health. It’s also a chance to talk about mental health, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to get help if you are struggling. Come together with friends, colleagues and members this World Mental Health Day as we host a range of meditation sessions.
Their founder Rory McPherson is leading the sessions, here are a few words from him:
“Thank you for inviting me to host a meditation workshop with you on World Mental Health Day. I am super excited to be partnering with Plexal for this amazing cause.
Throughout the day I will be running a variety of guided meditations, each with a different focus. There will be an Introduction to Meditation class, Breathing Workshop, Mindful Meditation, Gratitude Workshop and Meditation, Concentration Meditation and an Anxiety and Stress Reduction Meditation.
The classes will use ancient techniques combined with a modern approach so they are relatable to people who have busy work schedules in modern day life. This combination results in numerous mental and physical health benefits.
I look forward to seeing you all at the classes.”
The agenda for the day consists of:
- 9am: Introduction to Meditation
- 10am: Breathing Workshop
- 11am: Mindful Meditation
- 12pm: Gratitude Workshop
- 2pm: Introduction to Meditation
- 3pm: Concentration Meditation
- 4pm: Anxiety and Stress Reduction Meditation
