One year ago, world leaders assembled in the UK for the inaugural AI Safety Summit. They agreed a collaborative approach, nationally and internationally, is essential to safely build the technology.
But fast forward and our appetite for AI has stalled, despite the potential it presents to unlock economic benefits. Just 63% of global companies plan to increase AI spending in the next 12 months, compared to 93% in 2023, driven by cost and security barriers.
Having supported diverse organisations across government and industry to implement inclusive processes for the safe adoption of AI since the 2023 AI Safety Summit, Plexal is lifting the lid on tricks and treats surrounding AI this spooky season.
Join us on Wednesday 30th October 2024 at Plexal Stratford on the Here East Campus as we explore:
- AI uptake: A spellbinding success or cursed concept?
- Is regulation in AI sucking the life out of innovation?
- How is AI used for good and evil?
Our panellists on the night will include:
- David Sully, CEO and Co-Founder at Advai, which aims to increase the adoption and automation of AI across all domains and businesses
- Joshua Walter, Partner at Osney Capital, a UK-based venture capital fund specialising in early-stage cyber security startups
- Dr Magda Chelly, Co-Founder at Risk Immune, which equips organisations with advanced, AI-driven risk management capabilities
Not only will our session provide food for thought, we’ll close the evening off with pizza and drinks alongside networking, leaving everyone’s bellies and LinkedIn networks as full as their minds.
