Plexal works with influential government departments and global tech companies to deliver innovation projects. These include the international Rapid Innovation Accelerator, which connected entrepreneurs in the UK and Oman, and London RoadLab, which helped Transport for London innovate in a new way. 

As Plexal scales, the innovation programmes that we deliver, for both the public and private sector, have grown in complexity. This means that we now need to hire a Project Manager to manage timelines and budgets, resolve project blockers and coach other team members on agile frameworks to ensure high quality project delivery.  

Ultimately, you will create self-organising teams that are flexible and fully productive through project sprints.

THE ROLE

As a Project Manager at Plexal, you will: 

  • manage each project’s scope, timeline and budget 
  • coordinate stakeholders across the project into sprints, ensuring management of meetings and stand-ups
  • coach the wider team in agile frameworks 
  • facilitate internal communication and collaboration between the wider team 
  • work with technical specialists to solve problems that occur 
  • help teams implement changes effectively 
  • work on the design and delivery of world-class innovation and challenge-led programmes
  • create high-impact outputs that help clients make decisions 
  • manage inputs across several workstreams 
  • shape insights about the future of technology sectors 
  • proactively manage regular interaction, communication and collaboration with external stakeholders 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will be: 

  • experienced in a Scrum Master or project management role 
  • highly organised with a good understanding of innovation and collaboration practices 
  • analytical, with the ability to think critically and to understand, interpret and articulate complex concepts 
  • competent at taking responsibility for producing high-quality deliverables and presentations for senior external audiences 
  • a highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a range of stakeholder groups 
  • able to work with multiple stakeholders, including startups and corporate clients, while also understanding the practicalities of working in a small and growing company 
  • excellent at listening, facilitating and influencing. This includes influencing senior leaders and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes 
  • engaging and accurate in your written work, using your own intuition and judgement to produce outputs suitable for advising and making recommendations to senior leaders 
  • competent at producing high-quality deliverables and presentations for a senior external audience 
  • able to demonstrate wide-ranging business awareness along with a general level of technical aptitude 
  • able to demonstrate strategic awareness across technology markets and sectors and provide an outside-in perspective to clients when it comes to emerging market needs, trends, opportunities and technologies 
  • a structured, concise communicator who can use tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Scrum Master certified would be a bonus
