This is part of an ongoing mission to build the UK’s most connected cyber ecosystem, with GCHQ’s more than 70-year heritage in Cheltenham.

Plexal delivers projects for key government departments and global tech companies including the National Cyber Security Centre, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, Amazon Web Services and IBM. The NCSC For Startups alumni of over 60 companies has collectively raised over £430m and created over 700 jobs, while 72 cyber startups that have gone through Plexal’s LORCA accelerators have collectively raised over £300m, generated more than £68m in revenue and hired over 800 people.

What you’ll do

In this role you will assume responsibility of the day-to-day IT infrastructure support function across multiple sites, including but not limited to the following:
• Management of existing processes (incl. Joiners, Movers, Leavers)
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, across both Mac and Windows estates and across a range of systems and applications
• Assist all Plexal colleagues with any IT queries
• Assist workspace members with shared service queries
• Manage the IT service desk (incl. asset list, change management, etc.)
• Manage all lines of support for the IT helpdesk
• Ensure that software and firmware upgrades are completed as required
• Resolve issues related to print, copy and scan functions of the printing estate, ensuring expected functionality is available for end-users

You will also be a main contributor to:
• Supporting the deployment of new software and hardware
• Supporting all AV solutions at Plexal
• Ensuring that technical support and solution implementations follow change management procedure and best practices
• Support the Head of Technology to diagnose and resolve networking issues, working alongside our ISP to provide technical support – including the LAN/WAN/VPN environment, VLAN network and wireless network topology
• Providing technical support to the business on ad-hoc project work (incl. software implementation, one-off member services, etc.)

Given the responsibilities of the role, the candidate will be expected to be on-site 5-days a week.

• You have 3+ years’ experience in an IT support environment
• You are a self-starter that can identify and drive change
• You have extensive knowledge of Microsoft, Windows and macOS
• You have experience with Intune and Jamf
• You don’t mind getting stuck in and will get involved with all aspects of IT
• You have intermediate knowledge of networks and like to understand how things work
• You’re a team player and enjoy working towards a common goal
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
