World Mental Health Day with Calmer

Plexal has teamed up with Calmer for World Mental Health Day on 10 October to offer our members a pair of workshops focusing on mental wellbeing with Valerie Teh, wellbeing practitioner.

Mindful Micro-Breaks, 1:00 to 1:30pm
Taking regular breaks boosts productivity and slows burnout, but we often struggle to step away. If you feel like there’s too much to do and not enough time, join Valerie for a 30-minute lunchtime workshop on the art of the micro-break. You’ll learn effective ways to come back to a place of balance – techniques you can use every day for moments of mindfulness.

Rest and Restore, 5:00 to 5:45pm
Stress is the leading cause of physical illness in the UK. Learn to manage stress levels at any time and place with Valerie’s tried and tested relaxation techniques. In this 45-minute workshop, you’ll be guided through exercises to reduce your cortisol levels and relieve tension in mind and body. Just like exercise, finding the best way to relax takes a few tries – the practices we will explore draw from breathwork, mindfulness, somatic movement and guided visualisation.
